TECH PD RUBRIC [WORKING]

The PD Committee is developing PD Rubrics for each of the major initiatives at SAS. Technology is obviously one of these. The purpose of the rubric would be two-fold. First, it would help teachers self assess where they stand on the technology integration/use spectrum here at SAS and secondly, would serve to illustrate to a teacher how to progress from one level to another. Progressing from one step to another would be where teachers would target their own personal PD development. This progession from step to step would be facilitated by a SAS Technology Professional Development plan (still being developed). . These PD goals would then be reviewed by building admins and the PD coordinator to make sure they are in line with the SAS vision regarding technology integration. If you would like to see other rubrics developed around the other initiatives you can do that HERE.

This Rubric or continuum should serve to drive our on-going conversations about Technology Integration standards and accountability. Our Technology PD plan should provide the steps for teachers to continue from one level to another.

Holding teachers accountable would then come from clearly articulated Standards and Benchmarks that are integrated into the current Performance Assessment Standards and Benchmarks for each division/topic.
